Coming home from Lance's parents on Nov 26, we hit a deer, or rather, a deer hit us, on Hwy 1 just outside of Chilliwack in BC. Only two injuries, one dead deer and one munched Subaru. We are 100% ok, just a little shaken.
The headlight assembly is completely broken, the fender is pushed in and the driver's door is pretty bashed in. There looks to be some buckling under the battery, but I'm not sure. The windshield is cracked, but that might have happened earlier when we were hit by some gravel thrown up by a passing car.
Overall, we are very blessed to be unscathed. If the deer had been able to run another 2-3 feet in front of us, it might have come through the windshield. It happened on an unlit section of the highway, so there was no way to see it coming as it jumped over the center divider right into us.
